Debbie is originally from Alabama and has been involved in music and choirs as long as she can remember. With her mom as the church pianist and her dad as song leader, she learned to express herself on the piano early and easily. Debbie is married to a retired Army officer and has had the opportunity to sing and accompany in churches on the East and West coasts, as well as South Korea and England. She believes God has orchestrated these experiences to bring her to Grace Music Ministries as arranger and accompanist. She is active in her church in Douglasville, Georgia, as a pianist and also sings and plays piano for the Jubalheirs, a 200-voice ladies’ chorus with the Georgia Baptist Convention. Debbie worships best through music, and is thrilled to offer her arrangements to help others worship her Lord through song.
From a very early age, Andy was singing in church and is now actively involved in his local church choir at First Baptist Douglasville, Georgia. Born the son of a preacher, he has been active in church all his life. He taught children’s Sunday School for 17 years, where he gained a love for Bible history. Andy never planned to become a writer of music and holds no skills for musical instruments. He has always loved to write poetry, but when The Lord started providing a tune for the poems, Andy knew something was different and that he needed to take it seriously. He attended Babbie Mason’s Inner Circle Songwriters' workshop, where he developed his art of songwriting. Andy continues to listen actively for The Lord to inspire him to write, and he considers it a great blessing to have the privilege of bringing lyrical messages of God’s grace and mercy to mankind. His greatest desire is for these songs to be heard by many so that people may be encouraged, uplifted or led to the Lord through the message in his songs. Andy was born and raised in Douglasville, Georgia, where he resides with his wife, Melissa.
Kathy is originally from Oxford, Alabama, where she currently resides with her husband, Charlie. Raised by a Southern Baptist music minister and pianist, she and her sister Debbie learned at an early age that music would play a major role in their lives. Kathy was a church organist at age 12, and has accompanied in numerous churches since that time. She is currently the pianist at her church, as well as a member of the praise band. She is humbled that God has used these experiences to prepare her to be a part of Grace Music Ministries.
Susan has been singing in church since her first congregational solo at age four and learned to find harmonies at an early age singing alongside her mother and grandmother. She is currently active in her church music ministry with ladies' ensemble, choir and various ensembles. She is also active with the Jubalheirs, a Georgia Baptist Convention ministry of 200+ women from churches all across Georgia, who sing all across the state. Susan is delighted and most thankful that God has given her the opportunity to do what she loves for the furtherance of His gospel.
Melissa has had a love for music since she was a young girl, always singing in the car and on bus trips with the youth from her church. She grew up singing in church choirs and continued with formal vocal training in college, where she performed in many musicals and sang in the college choral group. Melissa is active in her church choir at First Baptist Douglasville and also sings for other local churches, senior events, women’s retreats and community events. She is also active in the Jubalheirs, a praise and proclamation ministry of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Melissa loves to sing for her Lord whenever given the opportunity. She is honored to be able to sing original songs written by her husband, Andy, and is excited to see what the Lord is going to do with this ministry.
